What is hypnosis?
There are many definitions of hypnosis. The definition that rings true for me is:
“An inner state of distracted attention, where the critical faculty (that judgmental part of your brain) is bypassed and selective thinking can occur. Here, changes can occur as we alter where the brain focuses its attention. The heightened state of suggestibility or openness to change will facilitate change, so long as what is suggested does not generate conflict with your own internal belief system.”
